Bobba thought that could be triggering her sadness as well. But she wanted to share that on a previous Christmas she had a son that passed away. She explained her last living pet just passed. She said she has been held up in her apartment for 3 years now due to Covid. She apologized for the delay and explained she was 80 years old and technology was not her strong suit. Ok so the host walks Bobba through turning on her video and then poof…she was there.Īn incredibly beautiful dark skinned woman with curlers in her hair and a green polka dotted bathrobe on and a smile to just die for. I have seen old timers at in person meetings slam their keys repeatedly on a table if someone was talking to long. I do not typically generalize about anybody – however….addicts tend not to be a very patient lot. The crowd of addict faces that I could see were annoyed and impatiently shaking their heads. Bobba came back and then was asking how she could turn her video on. So the host of the meeting kindly said ok. She asked if we all could wait while she shut her door because of the background noise. She was a little slow to the go lets say. Her screen was blacked out but you could hear her strong southern accent as she started to speak. Well one addict who called herself Bobba ( a name I am not familiar with) raised her hand to share.

But many have their video on so you can see about 25-30 faces at once in their little squares. It is based out of New York City but people from all over the world are on it. The meeting I typically go on has at least 100 addicts on it at a time. Tonight what I witnessed on the recovery zoom meeting was absolutely priceless.
